Fall is here...

First Snow Hits the Mountains!

It has happened, our first skiff of snow for the mountains last night! It felt like fall was just around the corner this morning down in the valley, much cooler temps then we have had in a long while. Get out those skis and get them tuned up!

Good food and good friends as usual. George brings Kitty's famous custom made sandwiches, Ron has tomato bisque, Linda has a hot rum drink and the list goes on... Cynthia and Andy take a hike to find some fresh creamy wet snow. Nice warmer weather then all expected today, maybe we will have a spring after all. Bill celebrated his 88th birthday today with a few friends at Gardner Village. Bill is a inspiration for all of us, keep showing us your stuff, stud! I wished that I could of made it, but work kept me at home this morning. Thanks to Linda for taking the photos.

First Spring Luncheon, NOT Spring Weather

Our first Wednesday luncheon was today, but weather wise it was no spring day! Cold and snowing, it seamed just like another ski day but with no lifts open. Good food, good friends and conversation as always. It will get warmer, I'm sure of it? Wish you could of been here.

Our Tailgate Schedule has ended.

We are now back in the corner lot on the Eagle Express end on every Wednesday and Sunday. All friends and fogs are always welcome to attend and partake in the festivities. If you would like to help our cause of drinking friends who meet regularly to discuss their skiing addiction, let us know. We are always looking for volunteers for the main course. I'll keep a posted list here of past and future tailgates in 2010. If you would like to help, let George, John or myself know. All menus are posted so you know what may complement the main course; hint hint.

LDS is coming this weekend

The day is coming, I hope you will be there, I will! Sorry about that lack of updates the last 3 weeks. I will post some stuff in the next week or so to fill in. LDS will be upon us this Sunday. John E has been kind in keeping everyone up to date via email, in his own words:

Hard to believe with new snow on the ground that our favorite ski area is closing this Sunday. Where did the year go??? We will be doing our new normal, at ownerships request. The Employee Appreciation Day celebration is discontinued, and instead we will be in our private corner of the world at the far end of the lot with a party for FOG's, their family, and guests, only. The party will kick off about 8-8:30 am with Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, and sweet rolls. Lunch is served about noon and includes: Kobi Beef Dogs (the best in the world), Chili, and fixins. Bring side dishes and some money for the jar so that we can pay back the expenses incurred by everyone. See you there--rain, snow, sleet, or hail!

and we will ski you there, most of us, but some will be doing what they know best, PARTY!
