Australia Day - January 26, 2011

Karl and Mary throw us another great party for Australia Day. Great Hot Meat Pies, Sausage Rolls, Tim Tams and Fosters. Bluebird day and best of all, our good buddy Tom (Trail) made it through a crash with another skier today and came out ok after going to the hospital to get checked out. Tailgate Sunday (future changes, please read)

Hello my friends! Tailgate Sunday was another success, thanks to all of you and Fred that hosted today. Please note, as my schedule allows, I'll continue to post here. More current info can be found at our facebook, youtube and flickr pages as well. I'll also keep my twitter page alive, but it does contain other things from me as well. With all the internet social options available to us, I just don't have the time to try to keep them all up-to-date. I know that everyone prefers it one way or another, but when contributing to the group in my free time, I have to choose the options that are more popular and easy for me. For this group to get social on the "internet" we must contribute as group instead as of one. Facebook allows us to do this, I have contributed to this blog solely since 2007 and it's time for some change. Our homepage and archives will stay here as long as it can (free). Flickr is a paid service that I and John E contribute to, so the photos will always be there. Facebook is where we can share, post, and keep the group informed. YouTube I'll post videos and slide shows to. I have registered all of our domain names to keep it easy for all, hopefully. We are all social, so let's bring it all together in the next step as technology marches on! ... and we will always ski you on the slopes ...

We do the traditional Torch Light Parade at Alta again this year. John & Gay, Jason, G & Justin, Ron & Kirsten and Travis. It was a blast as usual!

Fog Potluck hosted by Karl & Mary

Yup, it's that time of year again, the Fog Potluck Christmas at the Wall's house. Please come and visit us at Karl's and Mary's on December 19th (Sunday). See Mary's famous Christmas Ski village, have some fine food and drink. Time: 3:00 to 8:00 pm (or later). Bring some extra cheer of your choice and we'll see you there, Contact Karl if you need directions or address. - Do it the Fog style!

Opening Day 2010 - 2011

Opening day and look who makes the picture, Burke. I missed it today but will arrive on Sunday. Reports that I have heard was it was a great first day, better then last year. Stats: 30" base and 51" total for the season so far.

Still snow left after warm temps!

We have had a unseasonably warm November, but the snow is holding and they are working the mountain. Forecast for Monday and Tuesday is snow, let's hope they are right and opening day is scheduled for Nov 12.
