The Making of A Snow Angel

Whoa... Crazy George as an Angel, well, let's not go that far. But maybe a slighty tilted crazy Snow Angel drinking a cool one.

Great weather today with lots of new snow coverage. It won't be long now. Tried to do a short movie today but ran out of memory on the camera, duh... We will have to do it next week! Bill is working on the Fog song, he has a way to go but I'm sure he'll get it.

We'll Call It 6"

Looking off the Moonbeam Deck you can see the snow today. It really made me think driving down the canyon today how much I'm ready for the 07 - 08 season. How quickly the fresh snow makes it seems like old times and summer is now just a memory. With these few early storms I hope that it is a sign of really good things to come. It gave me that tingly feeling you know, now all I need is that first powder dream and then the real deal. We missed you today CG and Brig! We hope you are feeling better Brig and will see you back on the mountain soon.

Our First Snowy Luncheon

Our first snowy luncheon of the season! John had to call me today to get me out of the office to enjoy the weather and I'm glad he did! It made me think how close we are to skiing again.

John, Linda, Bill, Scott and Eric's hiding in there somewhere. It was much colder today and huddling back in Moonbeam cove was a much welcome change. Linda made us a yummy Ruben casserole dish. Even Stinky made it up today, but somehow he eluded the pictures this time around. We'll get you next time John.

Planting the Garlic for next season

We take the time today to plant next years harvest of garlic in the Keller Garden. Here Bernie gets close instruction on the proper way to use a tiller. Bill points him in the right direction. It's critical, one wrong move and the whole garlic crop could be ruined!

Scott, Bill and Ron assume the position for planting the garlic in the just the right way: 6 rows, each garlic exactly 6" apart. Bill gave me directions for measuring the 6" , I told him that method would actually put them at 8" apart...

Sacrifice to the Snow Gods II

At last weeks sacrifice we where able to get our biggest snow storm so far, so guess what? Another one was in order. CG attempted to burn this snow baby into a puddle of plastic, we got her warm and she was stuck to the foil snowflake, but no total melt down. Maybe it was not in the stars this week, we did stir the snow gods thou, a brisk wind came up as she started to warm up a bit. We are ready for the season to start soon, are you?

Sacrifice to the Snow Gods

Today at our world famous get together John & CG decided to sacrifice our snow baby to the snow gods. Last time we did this, much snow arrived in abundance a few days after our sacrifice. The snow gods have been good to us before, may they see fit to accept our offer again. We have had two early storms but nothing that has stuck around, that is all going to change now... Next time we'll turn down the "funky monkey" for a bit better audio! Linda was so kind today to provide us with some yummy tender roast beef and juice. You might see her in the background working away!

Fog Lunch at Moonbeam Deck II

Another shot from the Moonbeam deck, you can see a little snow from the first snowfall in the background on Little Dollie and Tude-Dude. Hey Ray, what ya doing?

Fog Lunch at Moonbeam Deck

Not much snow left from our first snow of the season but George was able to find a patch at the bottom of Tude-Dude to stick his big toe in. Ah, what a feeling... I'm sure that Busch never tasted better.
