Michael Goar, a 31-year ski industry veteran who has been executive vice president and general manager at Solitude Mountain Resort, is moving over to the Park City area to become managing director of The Canyons Resort. Goar has served in a variety of capacities at Solitude since 1981 and has been in charge of overall operations since 1991.

Solitude has become as wonderful as it is by having great employees such as Mike Gore, it's the opinion of this fog that Mike is a man of men. He's already missed. "Best of luck to you Mr. Gore !
