92" from last weeks storms!

We racked up 92" of snow in last weeks storms. I for one I'm anxious to get back into honeycomb canyon this morning. West face is open and maybe the east face will open tomorrow. Today is also Australian Day, Karl and Mary will be hosting a bash at the end of the lot. Bring your legs, appetites and ski you there!

Big kid, little kid... Honeycomb canyon, we were able to make first and second tracks today down Voltaire along with cutting the lower traverse (we miss you Jay). More snow on the way again in next few days. 

20" Powder in 24 hours, Honeycomb Bottomless!

Dorrie, Crazy George and Ron get back in lower Crystal Point. It's deep and bottomless and CG goes for it. It's steeper and deeper then it looks, but CG does a little flip flop. Who do we see, Jay M and his long sticks right behind us. Awesome stuff and there is more on the way in the next few days. Mountain Stats: 92" base, 296" season.

The "Big Guy" in Honeycomb Canyon

So, how do you find powder the day after a power day? Head back into Honeycomb canyon of course… The Black Widow (Dorrie) takes her two willing subjects (Ron & George) back into her lair (Voltaire) and the “Big Guy” on the mountain with his fat Icelantic Shaman skis floats like a graceful butterfly and never gets caught in the web down the great canyon. Awesome sunny day with powder, thank you Dorrie, the subjects did survive and they had great big grins to boot
